In game Minimap

With my squadron mates sometimes we're flying in this marvelous snow desert...

 

"Our position?"

 

"I think.. 448-1, just a moment (press O to see the map)."

 

"Hey Savi! you're losing altitude! you're diving! or turning right/left"    

 

 

So when i press O:  I'm seeing where i'm flying and i'm flying without seeing where i'm going.

 

Maybe we'll have a minimap like in ROF?  I think it will be very useful and welcome from many virtual pilots without, and with, the second monitor.

There is a mini-map, but it's only available on the lower difficulty level and isn't all that useful right now.

It's a selectable option in Dserver SDS file, or it's always possibile autolevel aircraft with every realism setting? 

(We fly full real with only "warm up engine" on and we are happy if nobody can use autolevel when we fly. )

"AI autopilot for level flight" is NOT tied with difficult or DServer options, is always ON. Can be engaged in any plane in any setting/server.

 

The game controls allow map the same key/button to do various things, so just use the advice to make O (or what key use for full screen map - I use M*) to engage - until you are look at the map - the "AI autopilot for level flight".

 

* Use the key (O, M...) set for map for hide "Instrument Panel" too, so depend on difficult setting dont see the "GPS/Radar" on map, but still with the possibility to toggle this ON if needed.

 

"AI autotiplot for level flight" is different from "AI autopilot" (the one that do the entire mission for you in SP), the first only maintain the flight level/heading, dont to course corrections or engine management.
