Funny thing is, that this pretty well reflects the reality of the air war from 1942 onwards: Luftwaffe was increasingly forced into a defensive position and had to prioritize the Jagdwaffe at the expense of their offensive capabilities.

 

Actually this is not reflecting "reality" for 1942. It was not before mid-1943 that the move away from the Stuka towards the Fw 190 as primary aircraft for the ground-attack arm was begun in earnest. And even in 1944 a good amount of units were still soldiering on with the Stuka. The preferance for fighter-bombers in pretty much any game is gameplay-related: there are simply far too many other fighters around and so people flying Stukas or Sturmoviks are either hardcore enthusiasts or hardcore masochists (or both).
