Finkeren Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Cheers Aaaaawwwwwww... 1000 posts. They're so adorable at that age.
Lusekofte Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I known Dakpilot years back on several sites, I frequently now meet him in two, here and at ATAG . Wherever and whenever he post it is worth reading. He is a true asset for this genre. I am very happy there are other people noticing it. Cheers Dakpilot, this genre would not be the same without you 1

Dakpilot Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Yep, amongst a lot of other stuff, I was very lucky and privileged to have spent a lot of time in the last of the commercially used 'round engine heavies' and able to actually live out my childhood fantasy's it really was an end of an era Cheers Dakpilot

Dakpilot Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 It's a DC-4 if you ever get a chance, pick up Fate is the Hunter by Ernest K. Gann, one of the 'great' aviation books (IMHO) Cheers Dakpilot
