roadrunner1024 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 hi guys, I've recently bought an old suncom throttle with the view to converting it to USB with a Arduino Pro Micro & MMJoyhaving opened it up I'm completely lost, I understand I will need to create a diode matrix, but from reading some posts at the DCS forums it appears that the throttle has 3 matrix's already: 2 4x1 matrix's & one 8x1 matrix.this is where I get lost, how do I figure out the pinouts? have my multimeter set to mesure resistance but have so far only got one result from the three matrix' how do I figure out where ground is & the row/column layout?or am I better off rewiring it to a single 4x4 matrix that I create from scratch?
Pajeka Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 As an alternative method of conversion have you looked at http://realsimulator.com/html/fusba.html Probably more expensive than your current method but possibly faster and easier.
Scott_Steiner Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I got a SUNCOM Hawk I was planning on gutting and putting a leo bodnar chip in but never got around to it. I got a Thrustmaster Warthog on sale last fall and don't really have any intention on doing anything with the Suncom stuff now (was loooking at the throttle but they never went that cheap on ebay). That FUSBA device looks really neat too. Whatever route you choose to go, I wish you the best of luck.. Was a great line of sticks now defunct (I believe due to thrustmaster patent laws). It's nice to see those things fly again.
