So let me have your input on this. What's more fun to you, more interest to you and  a point system should give more awards too as well.
All questions assume that  flight models , planes and graphics are ok ( concerning other games) and a  mission is complete in it's task. ( at least as far as BoS goes)

But you can answer in general ( i.e. multiplayer. ect.)

I was close to ticking Take of and landings but went for the third option. I get a lot of satisfaction from a nice landing and especially from a nice squad take off. But then there are other moments that I love as well like looking at the scenery or a nice sunset and then there's that heart pumping moment when you see a formation of enemy aircraft (very rare online unfortunately). Shooting down a plane ranks low if it's an online furball circle jerk but when well coordinately squad tactics come together against an equal number of enemies it's brilliant.

Thanks for your input Emil. I like all ,  but to b e honnest the first thing I do in any WWII flight sim after setting it up ( controls , graphics ,and a free flight) is try a dogfight or shoot some bombers.

In my opinion the pool is very simplistic. For me It is not a matter of take off, landing or shooting down aircrafts. I have real fun in accomplishing a mission: escorting or intercepting bombers, air superiority, attacking ground targets, etc. More pleasure if I survive at the end. I am very saudosist of the campaigns in the old IL-2: air domination war (ADW), airforce war (AW), il2.org.ru.

There, flying really had a meaning. I expect BoS and community evolving in this direction as soon as possible.

p.s.: I voted for: "Don't mind, anything goes."

Of course that's great , but for that to happen one needs some very immersive missions, which at this point the game does not give. Except if one is  expert mission builder and perhaps can  take advantage  to put  to action all the atributes that the mission builder can give.

Nothing of the 3 , to me it is ground pounding with a meaning. Witch this game currently lack. You are nothing more than easy prey and target practice flying those planes

So you don't play WWII flight sims at all ?

That's why fighter cover is needed, get some of your friends to fly cover for you.

I have recently discovered the joys of high altitude flying courtesy of Emil and the JG5 guys.

I find myself not being able to go back to Clod, DCS or 1946, as I genuinely don't think there is another WWII flight sim out there that gives you the same sensation of "flight" that BoS does.  Take off and landings but just flight in general :salute:

My problem is that none of my friends play IL-2. Only one friend plays flight simulators and he doesnt like WW2 planes   So unfortunately i pretty much have to play as a lonewolf.

The three above options are almost child-like in their simplicity. I cannot vote for any of those. Instead I would suggest the efficient planning of a mission route, perfect navigation, effective squad management and decisive coverage of a target, combined with an intelligent egress and a safe return. Just to name a few.

In MP:

To be honest I couldn't vote either for a couple of reasons.

Firstly I mostly fly fighters, but some days I just want to bomb things (like skipping bombs into ships in il2 1946).

Secondly and as important is that there needs to be a reason behind the flights.

For example if it is just a random fur ball (not protecting a target/ helping your bombers make it through) it losses it's feeling of accomplishment.

I get more satisfaction in helping the "bomber boys" do what they do best, whether I get any kills, or even see any enemy planes.

Don't get me wrong, kills are great, but without purpose (for me anyway) they are hollow.

Takeoff

Do your mission whatever it is.

Record score

Land

If you die during any of those, score gets reset.

This cycle is great fun.

You left off bombing and ground pounding.  In a game on the Battle of Stalingrad you should get most of your points destroying ground targets.  Put that in the poll and I'll vote.
