Um yeah... selecting waypoints?

Haven't played in a good while. Just getting back into the swing of things...

started some campaign missions and such.

Went to change way points..... hmm. no key for that.

went into the key bindings.. hmm.  nothing about selecting/changing way points..

nono , next way point button.   No, no previous way point button.

 

Am I missing something or has that been totally ignored?

please tell me Im missing something and there actually IS a way to select which waypoint you wish to currently navigate to.

seriously.. PLEASE tell me Im missing something.

Can you explain further: Why do you want to change waypoints? What does that accomplish?

 

I ask in all honesty, I can't think of any reason why such a feature should be necessary in BoS.

you do not have an autopilot except the "fly straight and level" one

 

For what he write, looks like he are playing the SP campaign, so besides this "fly straight and level" (AI Autopilot for level flight) are the "AI autopilot", that do all the mission flight is he want, including ground attack.

No, there's no key/button for select next or previous  waypoint, so follow them, or ignore  - what is advisable in campaign because some waypoints lead you over airbases, what trigger FLAK 88.

You can interpret these kind statement as "Besides the name IL-2 Sturmovik, this game dont have not related to the il-2 Sturmovik that you may know/enjoy/was used  - and this is your fault".

It would be good because if you slightly miss a waypoint, the only way to make it move to the next one is to turn around and fly back to it. You could just ignore it I suppose, but you'll have a big yellow marker in the sky over the missed way point. I've only been playing since yesterday so perhaps I'll get the hang of it, but I tend to miss the very first way point after taking off meaning I have to circle back before being able to move on.

I too have wanted this in mission, but AFAIK it's not available.

 

Ive been playing a user campaign which requires Normal mode and whilst at the AO I was wounded and damaged, It would have been nice to be able to set my waypoint directly to the home base.

 

Not essential...just nice.
