GunnyHighway Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I tried that plane and was surprised by the limbering feeling of flying an elephant. Is it the way it was in the version representation in the game, or were there more performing versions of that plane in WWII?
Finkeren Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 It's funny. A couple months back we had a thread complaining about the Ju 87 feeling too light and maneuverable I'm neither a pilot nor an aviation engineer, but I think the FM of Ju 87 in BoS accurately portrays what the Stuka was: A fairly heavy, very high drag design with a slightly too weak engine, exceptionally low wing loading, effective control surfaces and sturdy construction, giving it a low top speed, poor accelleration, middling climbrate and high corner speed in a turn.
Dakpilot Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Bigger than an elephant in all seriousness they are a larger aircraft than one generally thinks, according to their specs I 'feel' BoS has them modelled quite well, agreeing with the points made earlier by Finkeren Cheers

It feels the way you described it. Very good observation. I am used to fly faster Soviet bombers, so the difference is surprising.
