Thanks a lot. Your settings have made a huge difference. Not just in BoS. I also recalibrated my warthog as it wasn't centered on the x axis properly. I used the tool from http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65901 if you're interested, I highly recommend it. Thanks again Edited by Rolling_Blunder

Yes i used the tool couple of days ago , while i was on the hunt for a profile , my next step is stripping down my joystick and cleaning it and putting new grease on . as its now 4 years old .

I feel that the in game settings were not tested with the warthogs or might not of been tested fully , but i dont know this im just guessing  , as there are so many spikes ,  stalls and spins , and a basic combat manover can not be done with out fighting your joystick  . With these curves i can now fly .

I don't know about that, my brand new warthog is fine.

The team has many joysticks, but not all in the world.

Did they try the Microsoft Force Feed Back...because it is nearly useless with some of the aircraft no matter how I try to adjust it for Normal. The 190 yo=yo's all over the sky, getting hits with the nose swinginging left & right & up & down is frustrating  to say the least?!

LOL

Did you get settings that actually work for MSFFB??

The  Microsoft Force Feedback was the greatest stick I have ever used concerning the "feel" I was getting out of the aircraft. It had a complex mechanism and needed  it's drivers and software.
But you see Microsoft stopped making it and supporting it. Personally I think is more a matter of  software from MS side than from the game in this one but I may be wrong. No new  drivers for it,nothing, very unlikelly to be working properlly in all new games. Have you tried it in other new sims ?

Drivers for it are in all newer windows versions and it works flawless with Clod and DCS.

Then something has to be corrected to the game I suppose. There were some issues reported to other sticks. Mine too X55 can work only with  special-programming order through it's software for all double key commands, and accepts modes only in  software, not in game. Though in other games like WT accepts full programming within game.

I have a Logitech G940 and no problems with this game.

And the force feedback works correctly.

I do fly other sims and this one (BOS) i have had trouble with , i have spent many hours up and down with settings to get the feel i want , i felt that some thing was a miss and it was , at one point i nearly uninstalled BOS,  hence the post , i dont come on here trolling,  i ask good questions, if i feel the need to ask , now all is fine as i have used TARGET software curves , i am happy , and like others they are happy too . @forsale i am glad you are happy with your new joysticks  .

To answer a few questions & ask one or two:

My MSFFB works great with Il-2 original & CloD and unless I have the wong info it is no longer supported by Microsoft updates ( unless they are automatically done as suggested elsewhere in this string of posts...) I am not sure it does such a great job in RoF without some fiddling with settings and even then there is quite a bit of yo-yoing.I can rationalize this in a WW-1 sim esp with rotary engines in play. In BoS 'Normal "settings it is nearly hopeless with German fighters in particular.I have tried nearly everything just to get me through the Official Campaign and after  that experience have put most game play aside until I have a solution to the joystick problems & the devlopers & third party guys come up with some more entertaining missions & canpaigns...

So I need a new joystick if & when the sim improves gameplay for the evolving BoS with new maps & hopefully missions on the way & when BoM comes online. I did try a Logitech stick but it seemed to work np better, but I didn't try to adjust it in any way. Should I try again/ After installing do you have to change its settings profile ( something I can't do with MSFBB.) Is there an opinion on which Logictech works best or is another choice more idiot proof?

I value your opinions  because there has been so little feedback from 777 on this question.

Since the MSS FFB is out of production long time ago, but a lot of dedicated simmers still use it and bits it sky high on eBay, you are welcome to PM me and I'll send you one of my spares and you go fix the issues with it and I'll pre order BOM, nice deal or ?

Cheers
