GOAT-ACEOFACES Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 1942 PAW.. Ah that brings back memories.. It was the predecessor to EAW.. But not too many people remember PAW.. PAW 1942 was one of, if not the 1st PC flight simulator to implment a full 6DOF flight model, They used Fixed Point Math to implement/code the 6DOF flight model due to the floating point processor just not having the horse power to implement a floating point version of a 6DOF flight model back than. I still remember the easter eggs in that game.. There were several, the dope smoking rosta F4u, and the Gilligan's island that showed an island in the pacific that was not on map, and if you flew close to it, you would start to receive radio (text) message from the coconut radio the professor made! I might have to DL this just for the heck of it
=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Jeez, Pacific. That already attracts me. And New Guinea ? Even more. I will get it just to have some good memories back and let my imagination carry me. Thanks Sokol for bringing it !
Guest deleted@13284 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I would dearly love to re-visit this little gem but the graphics hurt my eyes. Here is a great site that allows you to play lots of MS DOS games in your browser https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_msdos_games Plenty of old sims to choose from.
