=LD=Stache Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) you can move the pitch trim max up and down nothing happens , LA-5 always wants to nose up ,wich makes gunnery very hard and flying the plane frustrating. (is the CoG correct, with that nose up attitude i'd guess it's too far back it also could explain the bad behavior in turns). I'm using a logitech G940 HOTAS in IL2 BoS Edited April 6, 2015 by =LD=Stache
Dakpilot Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 La-5 users different trim button controls from 109 or 190 and not on an axis (although it should be) so maybe you need to look at your control mapping? Check with 'technochat' in simplified/normal mode to see if working Cheers Dakpilot
=LD=Stache Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 I use the different buttons for pitch trim in all the russian planes and the FW 190 and they work just fine! . i see the trim is working because the percentages are changing but; the LA-5 just does not drop or lift it's nose like the FW 190 does when i trim it ,in fact as far as i can judge it doesn't change pitch at all ,it always seems to pitch the nose up even with max down trim and this gets more aggrevated as speed rises (diving), i end up giving forward pressure on the stick just to keep to nose levelled wich makes flying and especially gunnery a pretty bad experience IMHO
Siegfried Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 This problem is in He111 too. G940 owner here. I see the wheel in cockpit move and the percentages but the plane pitch don't change. And it works for aileron trim, why not for elevator?
Finkeren Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 There is no problem with the trim on the La-5 for me. Works like a charm.

Strange, I have no problem with the trim in the He111 either, just tested it 20 sec ago. Could it be related to the G940 ? Edited September 11, 2015 by F/JG300_Gruber
Finkeren Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 I wouldn't expect it to be a controller issue, if he sees the trim working in the technochat when he presses the buttons.
Brano Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Nothing is wrong with elevator trim in my La-5.Controlls mapped on keyboard.
Siegfried Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 My trim in heinkel is broken yet. Sometimes I can sense the wind forces when I throttle up in ground, but in fly the trim don't works. Is very strange. All the others planes are OK.

Siegfried Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Controls checked, elevator trim in heinkel don't work for me. I am Logitech G940 user. All other planes are fine.
Willy__ Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) You messed up on the key mappings. Mine working fine, every single plane, 111 included. Edited November 27, 2015 by istruba
