taleks Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 AFAIK, 1CGS doesn't decline any transactions. All financial operations are processed by payment provider. Usually decline means, that either your bank blocked transaction for some reason (e.g. bank thinks it was not you, who buys, but some crook in other part of the world who stole your card data) or payment provider blocked it because it thinks something is fishy. Your best choice is to contact bank and ask if they blocked it or not.
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 I checked with my bank, and they had blocked my MasterCard, saying that they viewed the transaction with suspicion, but since clarifying and saying that i had made transactions in the past, they will unblock the card. So will try after the holiday, thought this would be of interest to the developers and future buyers . Cheers. JM.
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I think I need to check with my bank also as the last sell in DCS didn't go through and it should have. Missed that sell because of that snafu ... Chief
fergal69 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) I purchased via PayPal with no problems. Worth trying that way if encounter any problems buying directly with a card. Edited April 6, 2015 by fergal69
Jason_Williams Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 All of our transactions are PCI Compliant and run trough either Authorize.net or PayPal. We have no access to any of your credit card info ourselves or do we keep any such data. If a card was declined for no good reason I would contact your bank and ask if they see a record of this and ask if they purposely blocked it. This has happened in the past because the bank simply thought our little store was a strange place to spend money. Jason

Yes I think you are correct and it is inconvenient when this occurs, but at the end of the day, its the banks looking after our interests, I have been in contact with my bank and they are about to unblock my card. If I do not re-post on this subject my transaction will have been successful. Cheers.
