IonicRipper Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I know my access is later this year but I can't wait to fly over Stalingrad with a LaGG :D
Requiem Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Spend a couple of days messing around with the available aircraft and figuring out if my rig is good enough to record training videos or not. I can record 1080p with RoF, so I'm hoping it's still good for BoS.
II./JG27_Rich Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) With my new trackir 5 I'll be getting into an online full real mission as soon as possible to see how the other guys are doing with their aeroples. How hard will those Russians be after I've bought some Vodka and tonic I've had this old trackir 3d pro for almost 8 years and it still works great but you need that 6' of deflection Edited October 8, 2013 by II./JG27Richie
PauloHirth Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I will spend a good time enjoing all, 3D, FM, Effects... reporting all and sugestions and i will try send a special review to www.gamesbrasil.com.br, a popular game site here, need new generation in simulation.
III/JG11_Tiger Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Jump on the forums and complain how this beta is crap as my favourite plane is not available and how I was ripped off paying for the beta because it doesnt work like a release version
FlatSpinMan Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I'll break with pack, I'll try setting up my HOTAS and do the training missions. Who's going to capture their first flight? Oh, and I suppose you're going to read the manual, too, are you? Weirdo!
HippyDruid Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Fire it up, then get interrupted by the family. Then settle down for a flight. Click fly, then get interrupted by the family.
Yellowsub Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Doing some solo flying, take-offs and landings, just cruising around. I think the flight immersion will be good (judging from the videos, at least I hope so). Read the rants on the forum. Edited October 8, 2013 by Yellowsub
I/JG27_Rollo Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 - Making some coffee after downloading the client over night. - Setting up graphics and controls - Flying the 109, do some testing, do some dogfighting, do some more flying of the 109 - Trying out all other available planes ... - Try to fly with squadmates ... - ? ... - PROFIT!
FlyingNutcase Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Looking forward to flying the IL2, a plane I had no interest in in the previous IL2 but for some reason I totally want to get into this time around. Looking forward to making an immersive IL2 ground attack campaign for myself and whoever I'm flying with. And looking forward to a great landscape with roads that curve naturally. :-)
Cybermat47 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'm going to shoot down a Russian with the 109F, then fly around until I run out of fuel or, more likely, get bored. I need to shoot stuff, y'know?
DocSnyder Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Getting my humble CH gear out of the cellar. I guess there'll be some work setting it up again after almost 2 years of abstinence. Than of course ... flying ... flying and again flying.

Valisk61 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Race through menu, straight into cockpit of the first aircraft on the list... Start engine, full throttle, bounce across runway apron, straight into nearest hut. ...well, that's how it usually works out...
Scarecrow Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Take off and find a bridge to fly under. Thats what I always do. 2
Trident_109 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Straight to the Il-2 if it's there. Then do a bit of low level sight seeing. ditto. I've already spent an inordinate amount of time in the 109. Seems like the IL2 needs some attention from me. I'll make her happy with some low level runs and try to take out a few ground target. After that I'll fly across the whole map and view the mapped landmarks. I like sun set and sun rise flights so I'll set the appropriate times. First, because I'll so excited after the download I'll have to go pee. Edited October 8, 2013 by Robert

VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Turn off computer and go watch reruns on TV. Interested in buying a bridge? OK, first thing will involve a beer.
II./JG77Timairborne Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Going to be relearning all my controls. And piss my wife off because im staying up all night.
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So are we going to all meet up the first night on ROF's TS? 2
DD_bongodriver Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Start up, take off, crash into a tree to see what all the fuss is about.......check in on the forums. 2
ATAG_Slipstream Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Start up, take off, crash into a tree to see what all the fuss is about.......check in on the forums. Just don't do it for real to compare...
DD_bongodriver Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Just don't do it for real to compare... Too late, already did it once.....sort of.
dkoor Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Check out the graphics + try to shoot some AI down (check gunnery/ballistics and see how it checks out in comparison with IL-2). Check CEM. And make quite a long loop with this.
Cybermat47 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Wait, have we all forgotten that the flak guns will be levitating in the early build? :D
Rjel Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So are we going to all meet up the first night on ROF's TS? I think that would be a great way to build some community good will. Bonding if you will. Could I suggest you make a new thread about your idea? See who signs up?
=LD=Scronce Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Find =LD= and make them carry me home, find Lemsko to give me some free green too so I can fly happy. 1
Blooddawn1942 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Well....first download and install the client of course. Then I will wait for a good occasion to spend several hours...let's say friday evening and get myself some well tempered nonalcoholic whitebeer... Now its getting interesting. I will start BoS and log in. Do all the necesary settings and controler setups. Once this is done, I move on to the qmb and set up a flight at late afternoon, because of the more ambient lighting and colours I hope. No wingmen. No enemy flights. Starting on the Runway choosing the Friedrich. I am going to make myself familiar with the cockpit and watch all the rudders move as I check the controlls. I take a look at the external cam. Then I will fire up the Daimler and off I go, hopefully smooth without crashing. I will enjoy this lonesome flight for maybe 20 minutes, performing maneuvers and sorting all things out. Gear, flaps, ilumination etc. In the end I hope to gather all my experience and perform a safe landing. Rolling out and shut up the engine. Open the canopy. And then is the time for my Franziskaner white beer
DD_bongodriver Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Non alcoholic beer? confused. I know right.....it's like......vegetarian sausages......utterly pointless. 1
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I have yet to decide on a beverage for the that night, any recommendations Bongo?
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Not at that bloody price! I will probably just get 12 cans of Red stripe.
