Damaged aircraft landing priority

I just flew a mission on my IL-2 and got badly damaged.

I nursed the aircraft back to home base only to be told to wait while the other aircraft land before me.

Well.....while on a holding pattern for too long a time, my engine fails, I bail out.

I lose out on points and experience because of this?!

Shouldn't an injured aircraft have priority over the rest?

You should be able to declare an emergency landing and be givin first priority! Can you please do something about this.

Great fun game but just venting is all.

As a technique, you could pretend your radio is dead, and land with traffic. I done this (it's been a while since I've played BoS) and watched airplanes behind me go around. I would also favor one side of the runway versus landing in the middle of the runway.
