6./ZG26_Emil Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I know the command <br> for line break but what other commands are available for the mission description? Is it possible to have one briefing for Axis and another allied? Cheers Emil

I don't think you can have mission briefings that are collation-specific. But you can have translator icons that show text (labels, really), and they are collation-specific. 6./ZG26_Emil Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 Thanks again Coconut!I suspected this after seeing both briefings in the larger DF servers...that's a shame. I'll use translator icons instead
FS_Fenice_1965 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to write the mission briefing ? Which language is used ?
Habu Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Thanks again Coconut! I suspected this after seeing both briefings in the larger DF servers...that's a shame. I'll use translator icons instead Wich one are you using, i tried the one we use for RoF, but it didn't work.
coconut Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Wich one are you using, i tried the one we use for RoF, but it didn't work. Works for me, see the screen cap. I'm using it for direction/distance indicators on flight paths.
Habu Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Ok, that's not the way we use it to display separate briefing. With your method you only display a few information.
coconut Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Indeed, I wouldn't use that for more than a few words. Supposedly, the description of the Mission Objective MCU is visible as a mouse-over tool tip. Maybe that's another potential solution. I haven't managed to get them working in MP, though. There is also the method of drawing text using lines. Not something I would attempt by hand, but it might be feasible with an external tool, if the performance overhead of having hundreds or thousands of lines isn't too big.
Habu Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 In Rof, we use the description from Icons to display briefing. But with Bos, the description is not display.

I just had a thought. You could set a trigger at the beginning which leads to a subtitle MCU...would that work? Edited March 29, 2015 by 6./JG5_Emil
coconut Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I just had a thought. You could set a trigger at the beginning which leads to a subtitle MCU...would that work? It would work, but it's not ideal. People who join late won't see it, and players can't bring it up and hide it as they need.
