Compass and ADF receiver

I have tried to get a reasonable response on General Discussion arena to the questions I have here. I have been focusing on the Bf-109 F model. The ADF or automatic direction finder...or receiver for getting navigation points that appears on the instrument panel does not really give any useful information for navigation. It seems to only be pointing at the direction of the wind as it points in exactly the same direction as the wind indicator on the lower left of the screen if you enable those icons.

It would be much better if the directional gyro would home in on radio navigation beacons at the waypoints which are on the flight plan map. That way, a bit more realism would be applied to the game...it would be an option to have the floating markers to use for navigation.

I understand that in combat, maybe these beacons could not be set up, but given the terrain and low level of navigation landmarks, it would seem to be better if something were made useful rather than the floating aerial markers.

And...I do not see a magnetic compass in this aircraft...where is it?

Thanks...you are doing a splendid job.

The 109 F4 (and G2) did not have an ADF.

The magnetic compass is there but there's no possibility for course setting. I suggested it in the suggestions section of the forum and keep fingers crossed they impliment it.

An ADF for waypoints would be the most unrealistic thing to do. There haven´t been beacons at waypoints and they didn´t have ADF. The BoS map is much more detailed and accurate than the "real maps", they had to work with. So we have a good advantage already, compared to the pilots flying in Stalingrad.
