Guest deleted@50488 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Spent a few time testing both Bf109s, and taxiing is (edit:)now pretty plausible. I don't know if it was addressed in 1.0.10 or 1.0.9, but feels OK to me now. Again, I also can confirm the Fw190 ground handling feels better.
Bussard_x Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 For the 190 only slow speed and corrections with small foot break input. No locked tailwheel and no use of rudder.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Tbh I really like the 109's taxi behaviour. DOn't reall know how historicly plausible it is since I can't rememer the taxi instruction apart from steering via small brake inputs (brake overheaitng danger) but physicly it seems to be moer convincing than the 190 to me. Can you colaborate on what exactly does not seem plausible? Maybe I can do some ressearch on this subject. Edited March 19, 2015 by Stab/JG26_5tuka

I 'feel' all these 'feelings' say more about the testers than the realism of the simulation.. How else would you explain that some say it is better and some say it is worse? 6./ZG26_5tuka Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Well it apparently didn't change as far as I know but good to know I really enjoy ground handling with the IL-2, F-4, Ju 87 as well as the the Heinkel. Russian planes are tricky due to their braking mechanism but seem being modeled reaosnably well. As for the 190, well, future trials will show hopefully Edited March 19, 2015 by Stab/JG26_5tuka
avlSteve Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Only had enough time since the update to taxi a 190 from parking to the runway (tailwheel unlocked) and go once around. I liked it very much. Also realized that locking the tail wheel is a natural for me on landing as I always try to have the stick all the way back at touchdown. Good stuff. 1CGS LukeFF Posted March 19, 2015 1CGS Posted March 19, 2015 Nothing changed with the 109's ground handling behavior.
Uriah Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I wish the devs would seek out the current pilots of some of the still existing planes that are flown by these pilots. I know the planes that still exist may not quite match the model in the game but I think the input from the current pilots would be helpful and good to know.

Uriah Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 And do we have any idea what the pilots or pilot has said about how the 109s and 190 A3 handles in this game? Particularly on taxi?
