Hi All,

         The longest running IL2 servers now have a BoS server on the go, it`s on the list as BattlefieldsUK1 or something like that (at work can`t check atm). We`ve got a custom mission running and constantly being edited which eventually will be up to the usual battle-fields top quality objective based standard. We`re still playing with the server settings etc but we`re getting there. Feel free to give it a go and let us know what you think/want via www.battle-fields.com.

Yes, but it is not opened because we are still learning how to run things (mission builder expecially......).

It is also different from IL2 the choice of the settings because easier ones are like Valor (UKD2 like) and we are still in doubt which to use.

Hey All,

Battle-fields.com now has 2 servers running 3 Map rotations...

 

UK_1 will have more relaxed settings. 

UK_2 will have No Icon CEM settings.

 

Both will feature shorter flight times within target rich environments and new Maps are a WIP.

I've even dusted off my old force feedback 2 stick and have been floating around!

 

This is a steep learning curve after IL2 missions and server hosting although I have to say that at least the server software is a good site better than what we got with IL2 first time around.

 

We are always open to sugestions on settings maps and welcome well behaved squads as long as folk stick to the rules so as to make it fun for all.

Both battle-fields.com Servers are now running a 5 Map rotation.

UK_1 has more relaxed settings.

UK_2 has No Icon CEM settings.

 

Maps have recently been optimized for MP play. All having Objective Based, Short Flight Times to Target Rich Environments.

Also following several conversations in an effort to enhance the FNBF missions for everyone....

All players please note that there will be several changes to the ROE for Friday Night Bomber Flights.

 

Example of a "New" ROE which will be included with the Recon Targeting Packs that are sent via PM for every Mission.

 

Mission #...: Example!

1) (New)* Mission will now last for 2 and 1/2 Hours not including the 12 minute hold below in #2.

 

2) (New)* Once the Mission Starts in the server a 12 Minute Hold is put on Players taking-off.
*Players may start up aircraft and taxi to runway during this time. This also allows for connection issues and more planning, Squads determining which airfield they will take off from. Who has which Bomber Group to escort. Which Target will this group attack... etc.

 

3) (New)* Following this 12 minute hold. A visible HUD Message with the phrase "Launch Aircraft!" will appear for 1 Minute.
 
4) (New)* A 35 Minute "Mulligan" is now in effect. Players who die within the first 35 minutes (including Hold time) of the mission are allowed to respawn into available aircraft.
  
5) HUD Messages will showup for met Objectives.
 
6) Players need to land before Mission end or be counted as destroyed.

(New)* Additionally all Vehicles, Infrastructure and Aircraft which were destroyed during this sortie will be reinstated.
 
7) Each Airfield now has more "additional" aircraft added to allow for #s 2 and 4 above. Total number and Arming restrictions for aircraft will be listed here.

(*37mm Gunpods are allowed for this mission.)
(No SC1000 Kg Bombs are allowed for Ju-87s in this Mission)

8) Each Airfield has a Refueling/Rearming/Refitting Rate of 3 Minutes. Which requires that you Land your Plane back at the base you took off from.

*Players whose aircraft were destroyed are allowed to refly given that they have not been killed and there are available aircraft.
*Players of course are not allowed to change sides during the mission.

 

9) Players charged with specific Recon for "future or current missions" must have a transmitted message, (*use Chat), or have Objective HUD Message at the time of Recon and then Land for recon to be verified and plotted for said future or current mission. Players may also take Recon pictures. Landing rule applies and please submit Picture to [DBS]Tx_Tip for inclusion in future Recon Briefing Packs.

 

10) Just a gentle reminder. Please use appropriate armament for the Mission you are tasked for.
****No SC1800 or SC2000 Kg ordinance is allowed.
****Gunpods are restricted unless explicitly allowed for the mission.

 

11) Airbase Attacks. New Ruling***
Players may conduct a coordinated Airbase attack only on Enemy Bases which have been reconnoitered as specifically stated in Number 9 above.
There will be no vulching permitted in any instance. Make your attacks and retire from the area promptly.
I do not wish to completely deter attacks with additonal flak pieces at Airfields. These resources can be better put to use in armor, vehicles, trains etc. that we all enjoy blowing up. Nuff said.
