machtu Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Just finished building a new pc to better run BoS only to find out that I can't launch. Moved the 1C folder from the C: drive from my old hard drive to the new C: on the SSD and when I go to launch program, I get a failed update message on the launch screen. I haven't seen anything in the forum that talks about this. Do I need to download from 1C again or are there other files I need to get from other folders?
6./ZG26_Custard Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) You will probably have to re-install the game to the correct drive path (your SSD). Edited March 18, 2015 by OriginalCustard
9./JG27golani79 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 If you just copy the folder there are no registry entries so this can probably cause problems. As OriginalCustard already said - a reinstallation should get you going again.
Tyberan Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Easier way is to use the installer to setup the game on your computer usually the first setup section. Download like 2-3%. Cancel or close installation. Registry files should have been created. Copy over your folder to your new install directory. Should work.
machtu Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 I thought that I would probably need to re install the program. I thought that there would be an obvious place to do that, then enter my key and then back in the pilots seat again. How...where do I find the re installation info/files/program?
No_85_Gramps Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Go to the main web site, log in, and download the installer. Edited March 18, 2015 by Gramps
machtu Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Thanks for help. It is not very intuitive on where to go to get the download. It was hidden in the profile page. After finding the download button, no problems. Thanks again.
