II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) I was on the floor cracking up when he pulled that maneuver but it actually all made sense factually lol. Shame the rest of the film was about my drinking problem....... Ow Sh*t Im projecting again DOH You can actually use this maneuver to maintain level flight when your elevator controls are shot out. (The flying, not the drinking. Not that there's anything wrong with that either.) Plane climbs a bit, aileron roll, inverted, plane descends (inverted climb), aileron roll, repeat. I've used it for years to get home in sims, landed it a couple of times, crashed it a lot, and now tend to bail when I'm over the airfield. Edited March 17, 2015 by HerrMurf
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It's not likely a feauture I'd primarily expect to be iimplemented in BoS, but since it is already present for VVS planes (as stated in comments) but not for german aircrafts it's not a new feauture - it's a bug. ALthough I can happily live without it, I can sure understand why some volks demand this feauture to be also present for german aircaft. This is a 60 year old DB605 rebuild in a rebuilt plane. I'm willing to bet mechanical failure in a rebuilt aircraft was the issue. Do you know the average condition of a wartime 24/7 used Daimler Benz engine? Especially rebuild ones sport way better quality and longlivety than wartime engines. This is a pretty weak statement tbh. Won't go deeper into it to not be beaten with sueriour trolling.
