Flight Sim Info

I was wondering where folks go to get their Flight Sim information. I normally visit the Rise of Flight, Battle of Stalingrad, ATAG Cliffs of Dover, and DCS Forums as these are the Sims I've purchased, flown and are on my harddrive. I'll also visit Sim HQ and the recently launched MudSpike in addition to a few squad based sites. 

  Are there any I've overlooked or that someone thinks are worth checking out?

You have touched on the main ones for the sims you mentioned.. I would also add IL2 @ 1C to that list for all things on the stock goings on with IL2. This is the site that Team Diadalos runs from and TD is the official team that is still patching IL2 and hopefully the two leading mod teams HSFX and SAS will continue to upgrade their mod packs accordingly as TD advances the stock sim. I know that HSFX will.. but SAS , simply by the sheer size of their mod version may have a longer time window to keep up with TD.. I say may. They do a pretty good job of keeping up but with the release of CUP.. which is a monumental undertaking there just may be more stuff to work with. Back in the day it used to be more convoluted as far as mods for IL2 went but now it seems that things are settling down to 3 primary versions of IL2.. the stock un modded version.. the HSFX version.. and the SAS version... Both mod versions have their own flavor.. but for ease of installation and a reasonable footprint HSFX is hard to beat. I have to say though, that for IL2 there is still no better overall single site for everything IL2 than Mission 4 Today. It is hands down the premier site for IL2. The SAS site linked below, the 1C site that I linked in this post and even the 242 site, which is the home of HSFX are also sites that you want to have links to as far as IL2 goes. Sim HQ is ok as a site.. but it is not the same as M4T by a light year.. SHQ is more like a local bar in Sim City where the flight simmers go to hang out, along with other simmers as well.. but other than discussion and articles it does not have a lot to offer as far as content whereas M4T is LOADED. One good thing about SHQ (and certainly not the only one)  aside from the excellent articles and reviews is that it is a one stop place where you can discuss a variety of sims with like minded individuals all in one place.

Could you clarify that please? Because from my understanding SAS is a team of guys... Are you saying there is a guy developing his own flight sim somewhere? Or are you referring to SAS.. ?

There is a gentleman on that site with some impressive coding skills that I think is basically re-writing the engine for IL2'46.
