I'm getting a kinda 60's vibe ....

I'm old enough to remember the variety of popular music coming off the back of punk in the late 70's/early 80's. Wholesome, innocent times. :spiteful:

Lots of Journey lately. Saw them in concert two weeks ago with Toto. Both were incredible.

Going to a metal festival this week, so been listening to bands playing there. For example Meshuggah, Eluveitie, Kreator, Terror, Before the Dawn, Mors Subita, Lost Society etc. Feels good to finally be able to go on a festival :)

I remember as a small child at cheap fun fairs on rare holiday outings these two songs were everywhere my ears went. When I hear them again I'm instantly transported back to the innocence of youth with no understanding of the politics of the time, just good times.

Resume normal transmission ....

Sometimes I just want to listen to the old stuff. Well, most of the time, actually. They don't make 'em like they used to...

Eric Idle - "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life"

This song went to number 3 on the UK singles chart and became the no.1 favourite at funerals.

Famously it was sung by the crew of the HMS Sheffield, as they rowed away from their sinking ship, at the Falklands.
