Yep. Very good. :good:

These guys were amazing.

From the records they released as Jam & Spoon, their version of  "Age of Love" remains  one of my favorite 90's track.

But they were also behind a lot of successful records that came under different names.

Later they got in the top with "Storm"

Damn good music.

I miss the nineties...Compared to the nineties, this decade is a dumpster fire.

Now the wait has an end! I'm so excited. Don't know if I should first listen to the black, red or silver vinyl of SENJUTSU!!!

Whichever you choose, the album rocks big time.

Up the irons.

[80 years ago today] "• Django Reinhardt is recording a series of records in Paris, including the below piece today. A Belgian of Romani descent, he is considered one of the most influential jazz guitarists of all time and founder of “Gypsy Jazz”.

- He will continue to play in underground clubs during the occupation but it becomes increasingly dangerous for Jews and Romani. He will be apprehended in 1943 for transportation to a camp but released by a German officer who happens to be a jazz fan. He will attempt to reach Switzerland shortly afterward but be caught and returned to France by Swiss border guards. He will go underground until the liberation.

- After the war he will briefly tour with Duke Ellington, but suffer emotional issues, possibly survivor’s guilt for not perishing with the other Romani. He will turn down an offer to join Benny Goodman’s orchestra and return to Europe, dying in 1953 at age 43.

- The Festival Django Reinhardt is a Gypsy jazz music festival held every year at Samois-sur-Seine, while Djangofests are held annually in California and Colorado, as well as intermittently in other countries.

Yeah, I admit, the trumpet is a bit high pitched.

Have a nice day.

Deployed all over the world with this CD.  Hope you like it.  Nothing quite sonically like listening to the first track with a platoon of M109 Paladins in full battery about a quarter mile away.  Righteous stuff.

Playing Il2 - Tank Crew with GuP OST playing in background. Yes, the irony is not lost on me either. :)
