Cybermat47 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 This seems appropriate: a new heavy metal song about the Red Baron.

Music The common thread we all seem to have regardless of nationality, race, gender, age, geo-location, etc. Just browsing this thread is incredible with the variations. Nothing “new” or “groundbreaking” in thought mind you, just saying. Human creativity never ceases to amaze me at times. I mean, heavy metal and the Red Baron? Who would have connected the dots on THAT one?! It’s also nice seeing everyone express their own individual likes in this thread and not bashing others for what they listen to. Rei-sen Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 An outstanding bass player, a great musician. Had a substantial influence on the band. All of their best stuff was composed while he was alive. RIP Cliff. 2
Stoopy Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 (edited) Big fan of Instrumental Surf Music, a once-obscure genre that is thriving these days with lots of new bands and tunes. I grew up listening to it in the 60's in Southern California and played in a surf band, good times. Still play today and have most all my vintage guitar and amp gear, but my fingers are slowing down with age. It's a fun, energetic, dynamic sound I'll always have a bond with. Here's some cool random examples of current bands and new material that's happenin' these days.... enjoy! EDIT: Almost forgot IL2- related instro surf content...makes for good video backing tracks: Edited August 23, 2019 by Stoopy

It's so long ago all I can remember was that it was in London but I can't recall where. Debbie came on and she was obviously off her head on something and promptly fell into the drum kit. There was then a twenty minute delay whilst they re-miked the drums and tried to straighten her out! They were terrible. She was good and sang well but the band were rubbish especially considering how many of them there were! I think this is brilliant! 1

Finkeren Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Have taken a bit of a liking to Unleash The Archers lately. Their drummer is a beast, even if that 1980s porn-stache does make him look a bit goofy.
SCG_ErwinP Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Is this too old? I still listening at 32 years old 3
