taleks Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If there are no any issues with master server at that time, then most probably firewall/antiviral software blocks some of dserver's connections.
-=PHX=-Satch Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Thanks for the response Taleks. I have tried with dserver in ROF with same settings and all works fine. I don´t have firewalls active, only in router but i have set some options to launch dserver in ROF and it works... any other idea please? I am the official host in my squadron and we cannot test the new dedicated server yet.
1./JG42Nephris Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Just for testing sake open ports 28000 in your router.I think tcp and udp, and the download port aswell. Am not at home, but the ports should be exactly mentioned in the readme. are you sure your Windows firewall isnt active?Basically and by default the Windows firewall is enabled.
-=PHX=-Satch Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Hi Nephris! I have ports 28000 and 28100 tcp/udp open, same ports that use in ROF. What do you mean with "download port" ? Windows firewall is OFF.
-=PHX=-Satch Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Please Devs I need support with this. My ports are opened for sure ( I can host ROF perfectly with same ports) but in BOS I don´t have luck... I have send a ticket without any response yet. Any clue about this problem is really welcome.
72sq_Savinio Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Something like your error happened to me when i try to host my mission from a different folder than Multiplayer/dogfight/. But now i'm at work and i don't remember if it was the same .

1./JG42Nephris Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I am unsure atm, but wasnt there a problem with underscores in loading missions once? I dont use underscores anymore and load from default folders like data/Multiplayer/dogfight/ afaik where your working stock missons are loaded from aswell. As it looks you load your mission from a custom created folder "Mission Dogfight"? Maybe you want to black out your email on the screenshot? Edited March 12, 2015 by 1./JG42Nephris
-=PHX=-Satch Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Well... one problem - one solution and then... another problem... Help please! First problem: Unmark ranked server, works! and now the next problem:
1./JG42Nephris Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) You are doing reall wierd stuff there tbh. Why are using that strange paths? If you use the default paths for your multiplayer mission you should be fine. As I posted above, load your missions from data/Multiplayer/dogfight/ I do not know where you pick the path Multiplayer\E:/program files/ ....etc from ( is it a mapped drive?) but obviously the game doesnt know where to look or what to do with it. Move your dogfight misisons into your \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Multiplayer\Dogfight For the same reason the ranked server runs, as it knows where to load the default mission for multiplayer from. Pick the misisons from the same folder and you should most probably do fine. Edited March 13, 2015 by 1./JG42Nephris
taleks Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Have you used SDS manager or modified SDS file directly? As Nephris said, last error is related to paths, specified in SDS. it seems your rotation list contains full paths for missions (starts from E:\...), should be relative to data/Multiplayer folder.

-=PHX=-Satch Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 I don´t have give this strange path to dserver, is part of the error and Dserver shows the crazy path... Anyway now is running everything ok. Thanks for the responses guys.
Habu Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 For the first error, i have it when i want to load a mission with a bad type of mission. For exemple, if your mission is define in cooperative mode. You must use dogfight mode for multiplayer. For the second error, like other said, the path must be wrong. I suggest you ton install your game in a different directory that program file. You could encounter problem if you edit config file in that path, because since Vista, everything in program file is secured, so sometimes windows thinks it's a virus which try to attack and don't allow the change.
LLv34_Untamo Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 S! I have ran dedicated server many times without problems, but now suddenly I have this error. I checked the things listed above, but I still get this error. Pretty baffled what is going on :-/
LLv34_Untamo Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Problem persists.. I uninstalled all firewall and antivir software from the server machine, doesn't really need it anyways. No effect. Made sure the NAT port forwarding is truly working by poking through with my own hastily written Java ping host-client sotftware. I then went to uninstall and reinstall BoS. No luck Running out of ideas here.
LLv34_Untamo Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Argh, as soon as I posted that, I got it to work. I had used a recycled .sds file all the time. As soon as I made a clean one, it started to work. I thought I had already done that
No601_Swallow Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Poor Untamo! This is the sad mournful cry of the mission builder, like a lonely seagull on a stormy day (or something! ): "Testing continues!"
LLv34_Untamo Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 S! New problem... well not exactly new, but it manifests sometimes, and recently it has been more common. What is wrong if the server says in game multiplayer menu that there are -1 players on the server? When I try to join, it says something like "connection cannot be established" or something like that. Any ideas what is causing it? The server seems to be running properly, and if I restart the server and mission, the problem vanishes, for a time.
Habu Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Check the number of player you set in the sds file.
Habu Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 So, it should work, i set my server on 84, which show 83 slots, but 85 should be fine as we see many server with 64 slots.
