SOLIDKREATE Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) Hello, I am a man who loves to sample the dishes of the world. Ever since my time in the US Navy and traveling to 14 different countries my pallet for taste has been broadened. I am always looking for new an delicious ways to satisfy my hunger. This thread is for the 'Foodies' (food lovers) in the house. You can post original recipes or family recipes or something online you found to be delectable. Here is one of mine that I made for my family tonite: Isaac's Mozzerella Grilled Cheese and Soup. Ingredients: 2 cups of soft butter 1 or 2 Tsp or garlic powder 1 or 2 Tsp of Italian Seasoning 1 or 2 Tsp or Oregano 1 loaf of French or Italian bread (sliced) 1 or more packages (family size dependent) of shredded Mozzarella cheese 1 container of 100% grated Parmesan & Romano cheese. 1 or 2 cans of tomato soup (family size dependent). *1 or two packages of pepperoni slices Instructions: In a deep MICROWAVE SAFE bowl put the butter inside and radiate for 30 seconds (1100watts). While the butter is soft add in the garlic powder & Italian seasoning. Stir it all together until very well mixed. Place back in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. While the butter mix is chilling cook your tomato soup and add the oregano and Parmesan & Romano in. When the soup is cooked turn the flame to 'low' DO NOT COVER. Get the butter from the fridge and put it somewhere out of the way. Now get a skillet or other NON-STICK pan that has a nice flat bottom SPRAY it with non-stick spray regardless. Set heat to high fro about 2 minutes and then down to 70%. Toast the slices of bread. Get them out and put butter on ONE side only. Put one slice in the pan BUTTER SIDE DOWN and put some mozzerella cheese on it. Cover it with the other slice BUTTER SIDE UP. Flip it over immediately to gauge how fast it browns the bread. Keep flipping to desired 'doneness' Serve two sandwhiches with tomato soup as the dipping sauce *Peperoni is optional and can be added inside the sandwich if you so desire. You can also sprinkle Parmesan on the top of the sandwich after it's done as a garnish. Bon apatite! Edited March 9, 2015 by 6./ZG1=SPEKTRE76 1
FlatSpinMan Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I cook a fair bit but will need to think if I have any recipes that are worth sharing. I tend to make fairly basic stuff that is improvised out if whatever food we happen to have lying around the house. My cooking is to the authentic dish, what Hollywood war movies are to history. 1
