First sensible thing I've heard from the middle east in the last thirty years.The Kurdish armies have been there for longer than thirty years (although the YPG/YPJ are more recent constructions). They have just been branded 'terrorists' in the West the entire time, mainly to please the NATO-member Turkey. EDIT: I realize we're moving into politically contentious territory now.
