Dserver.exe Occupies My Trackir

Hi,

 

if I start Dserver.exe at first and then the BoS game my Track IR 5 does't work.

But if I start BoS at first. go back to my Desktop with Alt+Tab and start DServer.exe my TrackIR is working.

It looks like DServer.exe uses my TrackIR.

 

Did someone of you have the same problem?

Same here. I did what you tried by starting the game first and then running DServer.exe. Took me about 2 hours to figure this out.

I have the same problem with trakir 3, then works fine ....

Should be a FAQ item (if it isn't already); Start the game before the server if you're running them on the same computer or TIR won't work.

I'm not sure that I understand your chain of events. Are you saying that you start the mission in the DServer interface and then join the mission in BoS before attempting to Alt+Tab out and start TrackIR? Are you running the DServer that's included in your BoS directories or do you have the separate DServer that is a free stripped-down version of BoS?

It is the Dserver out of the BOS directories itself.

 

Sorry I forgot to mention this.

 

I start everything in this order=Dserver,BOS,(Alt Tab out),Start Tracker IR.Can't get back in to game.

Try starting your TrackIR after you start the mission on DServer but before you start BoS, which is what I do when running my separate DServer.

 

Note that according to the information near the end of this post, "...it is not possible to play and host with the same account simultaneously..." (i.e., you need the separate DServer rather than the one included with BoS). Now, it appears that you can start the integrated DServer and BoS, but perhaps you run into technical issues or performance issues (I've never tested this configuration).

Thanks JimTM I got it to work but my machine is just a bit to slow to run the server and play the game.

 

The server runs well I see and fly with the AI and there is no lag.

 

It only lags a bit when I get shot down.

 

The next computer upgrade I would not be surprised it could run it.

Glad to hear it's working for you WTornado. Please post your experiences when you have other players join the server. It sounds like performance may be the only limiting factor when running the integrated DServer.
