fiddlinjim Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 If anyone on the forum knows Harrison Ford (movie star), you might send him and email and suggest he should do his flying on BOS, DCS, COD as opposed to a real 1942 plane. You might explain to him that when one of us simmers has a crack-up, we can push the restart/refly button or go get a coffee or take a pee call or turn off the monitor and take a nap and all the while with all our bones intact.
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 He's gotten time in the very fighters we fantasize about.
Feathered_IV Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Glad he's okay. Congratulations to him also for the future bragging rights on how he got to crash a vintage warbird and walk away from it.
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 They say he clipped a tree on the emergency landing but if you look at how softly he put that plane down, it's amazing. He tore up very little ground on landing ... Chief

I watched some footage at rt.com - extremely little space and taking that golf courses aren't plain - quiet uneven and no retractible gear. Well done.
indiaciki Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 take a look at 01:42min... lots of trees almosts no space to land on
BlitzPig_EL Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 One of the BlitzPigs has owned a real PT 22 for some time now, his comment was that anyone that has an engine failure in one and lives to tell about it is one hell of a pilot.
=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Glad it wasn't the Millennium falcon he crashed. If he would be flying Millennium Falcon that would never happen. He knows how to handle that "bird" 1
