fritzgryphon Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I've had an odd freeze happen a dozen times, and I wonder if anyone else has seen it. While playing, the screen suddenly becomes grey blue, and then about ten seconds later, goes black. Oddly, the game continues to run, sound effects are heard, the game can be exited by alt-F4. The screen remains black, and I can shut down windows with the power button. After rebooting the system is normal. I assume it's my video card stroking out (I have a week-old GTX 970, and it's the only card I've played BOS with), but I haven't been able to get instabilities in other games or the latest 3DMark. The video card never gets over 60 degrees. So, just a shot in the dark, has anyone else had this specific blue-grey screen graphics loss? EVGA GTX 970 Intel i5-3330 8GB DDRII Win7
SCG_Neun Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I have the GTX770 and I've been having similar issues. For me...the sound continues on...even when I alt out of the game and my task manager says the game is shutdown as well. I've also had freezes where I had to reboot my entire system with the last sound from the game...continuously sounding....until the reboot. I thought it might be my logitech gaming headset software as well...with the surround sound issues.....I'm still baffled. My card does not overheat as well....and I've run test on kombustor....with no problems. I have not had the blue grey screen come up...mine either boots me clear back to desktop, or just freezes in the middle of a mission...with the sound locked on... Edited March 5, 2015 by JagdNeun
