Dserver Info And Configuration

Hi all..sorry if this is already been discussed...but I don't find such info in the forum

I got the key to run the DServer file, activated the account into the IL2 web site...but I got the following error trying to run the server:

 

 

Additional I don't understand what some input field mean....for example the Protection field. What I have to set into that field?

 

 

Last question...maybe a bug...in the following Windows there are some question mark as text in the bottons...what I should read instead?

The IP address of your router (as given by your isp) or the address of your server if you are using a dedicated server machine on a proper external connection.

 

Ao lets say your IP address of your router is 195.195.195.195 then that is the IP address you want to add in there (not an internal one like 192.168.0.1, then you will need to forward all traffic on the ports used for IL2 to your server machine.

I am getting the exact same error message (posted under the dedicated section of forum)

 

I sent a ticket yesterday and got this reply

 

"Before starting, DServer once run the game using the DS-account This is to add to the configuration file of the login and password of your DS-account"

 

Now I did run the dedicated server before the game, so I deleted the SDS file and ran the game and then ran the dediserver but I'm getting the same error.

try just adding your login and password information in the sds file, rather than using the dialogue box...

I might even suggest doing all your edits in the xxxxx.sds (missions, settings etc)..I know that way works, but have not tried the dialogue box yet.

Your login should be the email address you registered and not the user name.

 

I set up a new email account for mine for example

 

User name: server but the email account to log in: server@hotmail.com 

 

So your login should be for example

 

server@hotmail.com

password: 123

 

Try that and see if it works

There may be issues for some of us running the game on server hardware so the manual method would be the way to go.

 

I thought it needed the user name too and spent several minutes scratching my head. It is indeed the email address that goes into the username field.

Since today I receive aswell a login error for the Dserver.

Wednesday & thurday the server ran fine. Since today I receive for the same login details the error msg.....

Opened a ticket, however I am irritated.
