KG200_Volker Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (If I am posting in wrong forum please move the thread) First off, thank you team for the DS key Now my question is this, I have 2 PCs on the same router, can I host the server on PC-1 and join the server on PC-2? If yes, please tell me what ports to set for the PC-1 (server) , and PC-2 (client). Thank you.
Wandalen Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Yes, no problem. I used to host DServer in il2 46. 2 computers on the same router. I even had the router connected to another router so i had to set it up in bridge mod. But you should read a little about hosting and ip config. Its not hard at all
EvilJoven Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The server needs to be listening on TCP and UDP 28000 and TCP 28100 Clients will list UDP port 28000 TCP port 28000 and Mission Downloading Port 281000
SemiDesperado Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I have my ports totally open for testing purposes with DMZ and yet my friend still can't find my dedicated server. Any ideas? I've already disabled software firewalls and such.
KG200_Volker Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Thanks for the answers guys . SemiDesperado, your SDS (server configuration file) has this line: ExternalIP=0 When it is 0 you can see the server only through your LAN. You have to set it to 1 for everybody to see your server. 1
