Full Screen Mode Auto Minimizes

Hey folks,

 

In attempting to change settings on this game, I set it to full screen mode. Now, when I run the game, the screen goes black and then automatically minimizes to an icon on my bar at the bottom of the screen. Anytime I attempt to reopen it, I get a black screen for a few seconds and then it automatically minimizes again.

 

I've never seen anything like it before. Any help would truly be appreciated ! Thanks!
