On my server i use the freeware Bill process manager.

Thank you for sharing... this looks great for setting permanent affinity, but it doesn't appear to spread the load of one server process across multiple cores... or does it?!?!

You can set core and affinity, and build profil for application. For Bos, don't forget to use physical core, not hyperthreading. ;)

This was helpful, thank you!

Hey Emil ---  It does what it says from the Presentation page: http://www.bill2-software.com/processmanager/presentation.shtml

Bill2's Process Manager offers a management of your much more comprehensive process that the manager of the Windows task!
Bill2's Process Manager lets you create rules to indicate with which priority a program to run, and which processors or cores (affinity) it can use.
In addition, these rules are automatically saved and applied transparently when a process concerned is detected. With Bill2's Process Manager, you can, for example, create a rule for a program such as Folding @ home runs on the 2nd core of your CPU, leaving the core 1 completely free for all your usual tasks. "I'm doing the same with the Task Manager" Yes, but the Task Manager does not save your preferences , and does not automatically reapplies them! With Bill2's Process Manager, next time you start your PC, all your rules will apply again without you needing to intervene! You can also manage games that cause problems with multicore processors , and launch them on a single processor without having to worry about their management.

We can set rules that allow specific instances to follow certain affinity rules, ensuring  they don't end up on the same core.  It does appear to send some of the workload to other cores if one becomes saturated; however, even with available processing power the DServer still slows down on SPS and Tick Delay.
