Yours_truly_Ace Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 So, when are you guys going to make this sim an 100 % realism options, like ....almost all realistic sims out there? I am talking about no HUD on map, no HUD in cockpit, etc.? Online play is incredible boring and predictable now since everybody flyes close to an airfield to pick a fight (plane pops up on map radar). You better start doing something or people will look elsewhere. 2
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 There is nothing that will stop a good old dogfight no matter how a mission builder tries to lead them to objectives. But with this said, there are several online servers out there that offer Objective based play. The Syndicate and New Wings are two. And I know the hud can be turned off. I just don't know IF it's to your taste. Those that aren't happy with BoS perhaps should look else where if they don't want to wait it out and see change. Chief
JG5_Schuck Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Hey Tom, I like your style. I have long been asking for a 100% full real setting with no Hud, except chat for multiplay. After all, is there anything in the 'technochat' that you cant actually see in the game? Nav lights- look out the canopy, are they on? Pitch, throttle, revs, engine/oil temp, boost/manifold pressure, compass, fuel level, mixture, supercharger settings, (and now oxygen supply)- look at the dials and levers. Gear down, flaps and trim- surely you would know!!! You would really have to look after your plane, and know how to fly it, instead of charging around at full throttle watching for an overheat message in the technochat! So please Devs, just an option to disable the Hud for everyone in the settings.

But what don't you understand about having planes showing up on the map is total unrealistic and attract vulture players? If they were no map icons, people would do map objectives more, and leading to more interesting flights. Now basically people just vulture over airbases because they can see which air bases has planes over them.
SYN_Mike77 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Hmmm was on for 2 hours today and didn't see people hovering over enemy airfields for very long at all. They tended to get shot down by AA if they tried! 1

They tended to get shot down by AA if they tried! That's good then! Hope more people do objectives. Btw, sometimes when I try to enter the Syndicate server I just get thrown out, even when it's many available slots. Other servers works fine. U know the reason?
BzKBravoZulu Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I think it's because the Syndicate server has the "No Noridc Grinches Allowed" setting enabled.
Urra Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I think it's because the Syndicate server has the "No Noridc Grinches Allowed" setting enabled. Haven't been able to get in for past week.

They tended to get shot down by AA if they tried! That sound nice perhaps then from the game some more AAA to be added on every airfield so that would make it almost impossible for enemy planes to hover around. That would teach them a lesson. !
