Xeonith Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Okay, whenever I have a bomb load consisting of 250kg or heavier bombs, they have a constant tendency to fall off the second I push the stick to enter a dive, without pushing any buttons. Like, constantly. How does one avoid this? Here's my dive bombing procedure: 1. Be directly over target. 2. Deploy dive brakes. 3. Chop throttle to 0%. 4. Invert plane and pull into dive. 5. Release bomb(s) over target. 6. Pull up. 7. Increase throttle and retract dive brakes. On the occasions the bombs do not fall off for no fucking reason, it works very well. What am I doing wrong?
voncrapenhauser Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Never experienced that problem??? Have you got the drop bomb setting keyed to the joy forward by mistake?
Sokol1 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Look at keys, probable the same for dive brake are mapped for release the bomb. BTW - Map the sake key fore extend dive brakes ("AirBrakes on/off") for "Attack siren on/off".
Xeonith Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 Yeah, you guys were right. For some reason in 1C's wisdom, they decided to map "RAlt+B" to "toggle air brakes" and "B" to release bombs in the default settings.
Maple_X Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) Are you using Joystick profile? If you do so, It is possible that <RAlt+B> acts as <B>. I have, in my Joystick Saitek X52, confused that the button mapped as <LShift+G> acts as <G>, <LShift+F> as <F>, etc. The solution was "Advanced Command" of SST which was posted by Extreme_One in this forum. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/6780-saitek-sst-and-combination-key-inputs/?hl=%2Badvanced+%2Bcommand Edited February 23, 2015 by Maple_X
