voncrapenhauser Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 This is a question and I was just interested on all of your views. I usually have steered clear of the aerial death matches but recently having finished the campaign, unlocked everything and looking for more aerial shenanigans. I turned over to MP for a try. Over the past 2 or so weeks I have been playing MP almost exclusively and to my surprise, quite enjoying it. So the question, Is it just me or? , (and I apologise in advance for bringing up FM again).....I know zzzzzzzzzzz. The aircraft in MP, especially the FW 190 seem more usable and almost to their full extent? Please do not take this as a statement, it is simply a question about, is there a difference between MP and SP and not a criticism of the FMs ? BTW this is in Normal settings I should add. It's just that it feels different to me. Am I alone in this?. If so I am gonna fire my analyst LOL.
Finkeren Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 No difference in FM from what I can tell. Maybe it's just that tactics and situational awareness matters more in MP and it's therefore easier to utilize a plane like the Fw 190 against human opponents?

Oh yes I definitely fly different when the opposing enemy is not AI. Good point I only boom n zoom with the FW. Edited February 18, 2015 by voncrapenhauser
Finkeren Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Also: might it be posible, that we judge a planes 'usefulness' differently in MP, where it's somewhat less important to bring your crate back in one piece?
voncrapenhauser Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Also a good point. I guess there's more at stake in MP so we fly appropriately. Good views.Thanks. I have tried Expert mode too and , Yes there is a difference. I was comparing Normal in campaign and Normal in MP. The difference is very subtle to my mind. voncrapenhauser Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) I'm probably sounding a little mad here but the main difference, especially with the FW 190 Is how far back I can pull the stick before pre stall buffet or spin irrelevant of speed. Just seems more forgiving in MP. Even though I know it should be exactly the same. Edited February 18, 2015 by voncrapenhauser
Sokol1 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 ...utilize a plane like the Fw 190 against human opponents? Looks like that in MP sometimes the "AI" is dumbed down.

The spot, the line, the edge... call it what ever you want - it sounds like you are going to the place where you rock the house without killing yourself. The place where you are stepping out of the safe zone concerning speeds, g's, loads, altitudes, and you reach a point where you feel you are doing fine and can make this plane into something usefull (yess!!!). and what's more, you are not even worried you might overstep the boundaries - and when you do, you can regain control fast and effectively? sounds you just got a level up.

Yes the proof is in the pudding as we say here, I fly MP I shoot down others, I get shot down myself, what's the problem? LOL. Still it is refreshing to find a MP online Game which is not a vipers nest of MP noob killers like you get on Playstation and alike. Refreshing and somewhat grown up I think.
