Felix58 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Just tried the gunner position in a pe2. Can fire the gun, but cannot move left/right up/down. Just me? Tried all the controls I thought were applicable but no joy.
Zak Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The gun doesn't move when you try to move it with your mouse, right?
Finkeren Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 You have to first 'mount' the gun (default is to press 'T') and then aim down the sights (default shift+'T') You can confirm whether or not you have done it right by going into external view and see, if the gunner is standing up and holding the gun or sitting down. 1
Felix58 Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Hi Fink, No problems getting to the firing position, firing the gun or reloading. Just cannot move the gun up/dn left/right. This has been working for me in the past, using the mouse. Maybe a dreaded reset to default and remap! Have the same problem with the he111 in my install. thx Edited February 12, 2015 by Felix_Culpa
216th_Peterla Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Hi, It happens to me once. I guess I change something without notice. My solution was a full reset on the controls and problem solved.
Y-29.Silky Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Agreed with Fink. It happens to me once in a while, if you do one before the other you won't be able to move it up.
Solmyr Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 The gun doesn't move when you try to move it with your mouse, right? Please, Zak, could have a look at this : "There is a bug in the game that actually doesn't take into account the "Bow pilot vertically" and the "Turret, gunsight view : view vertical" commands when we set the -Y mouse, or maybe it's all the "-Y" assigned commands. By the way, it can be seen as when we're assigning the command, the game talks about your "-Y" assignment, and when you validate it immadiately after, then the "-Y" becomes "Y"... :/ In other words, I can set my commands in order to handle my gunsight in all directions, but only if I accept to raise up my mouse to get my gunsight nose going down, so with a "Y" axle. If I set the opposite "-Y", the game considers that I didn't assign any command. Edit : After a bit more of "investigation", it clearly appears that it's all the -X and -Y command assignments that are imposssible at this moment. Sure the dev team is gonna solve this issue soon. This bug almost made me crasy in my first few hours in the game. And I was right both problems are linked : I now, finally, of course am able to look my plane from all directions !" The whole thread is here :

Solmyr Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) This ?? What this ? He's able to fire the gun, he says, so that's not the question. There is a bug in the game atm, about you can know more reading above. Edited February 13, 2015 by Solmyr
Felix58 Posted February 13, 2015 Author Posted February 13, 2015 I reset to default and the controls now work as expected. Thx for your advice.
