D_Konig Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Is there a bug or some other reason why I can't control my pitch manually when in a 109 or the FW 190 ? I set it to manual pitch ,but the keys I have mapped for increase and decrease pitch don't do anything. It works on other aircraft though like the Ju 88 and some russian planes etc. Danke!
WWChunk Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I know with the Focke Wulf, you have to switch the prop control from auto to manual, then you can make changes to the propeller pitch.
D_Konig Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 I can switch it to manual, but the keys i have mapped for increase and decrease pitch dont seem to do anything in the 109s, it does work in the FW though upon closer inspection.
Porkman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Under the default mapping, this is the procedure which works for me: Press [L Sht + M] : Turns off AI control for prop pitch Press [R Sht + P] : Toggles BF109s switch from Auto to Manual Press [RSht + Minus] / [Rsht + Equals] : Changes prop pitch Also double check the mapping in Engine Controls. There is the setting "prop pitch control" but also separate settings for "prop: high pitch" and "prop: low pitch" which should be mapped to the same keys. Hope your issue gets resolved quickly.
