Help - Skin loading issues with IL-2

Hellow fellow skinners!

 

I recently got interested in skinning the IL-2 and unfortunately discovered a strange skin loading issue. I'm using Gimp (2.8.4 I think....) which works fine on all other planes I've worked with so far, so this issue is very specific and unfamiliar to me.

 

Whenever I join my layers and export them with DXT5 conversation and mipmaps skin viewer does show me only parts of the final skin. In this case it's only the paintwork without details and weathering, if I save it with Alpha channel it's only greyscale.

 

If sby using gimp expirienced the same while working on the IL-2 and knows how to solve it I' be glad if he shared his solution! Hope the image is self-explanatory

Nevermind, figured out the basic template had a different layer structure which somehow messed the final united layer up. After restructuring it a little it works fine now...
