Question for devs or people who host multiplayer servers.

Hello.

 

What is the benefit of making a server "ranked"? I ask this because I've seen few servers being changed to "ranked" in the last week or so and in "ranked" servers we can't use custom skins.

 

Removing the custom skins from the server puts me off from flying in there, so what's the reason for the change? Is it performance related, is it something else? Is there a benefit for ranked servers, or is it just a tool to enforce the offline grind on the onliners?

As an admin of a server, i can't tell you, because i don't know. Maybe for the stats. I'll see with players what they want. At that time, they want custom skin, like me, so no rank server for vercingetorix. at that time.
