manuboki Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hello everyone, I've always used my Saitek Joystick (on my MacBook) on other planes simulators. I really love IL2-Sturmovik, BUT I cannot fix/calibrate the center point with my joystick (the red point in the game input settings). Which means that every planes I want to control go always on the left (a very lot on the left). On my previous games I could fix the center point of my Joystick just clicking on a "center point" button. I do not find a such button which allows me to that. Can anyone help me on it ? Thank you very much to all in advance. Good flight
Ala13_Kike Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 in my old X52, the central tube of the joystick was cut the plastic of some cables inside. In my case this tube was sharp at the end, and the result...that you explain. In my case these cable they made short ("electrical contact"...I don't know how to explain), and went to the left too all time. If you can, and if the warranty is finish, open it and check. Good luck, if is like this has easy solution, but is a little laborious solution
manuboki Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Hi SuDoKu, Thanks for your answer. Perhaps I did not understand your explanation at 100%. But, if I don't confuse, you advice me to open my joystick and work on some cables inside to adjust the direction of my central tube ? This is quite strange because I don't have this problem when I use an other game (which is Warbirds). In this game the center point can be adjust and fixed with the settings, in the game. So do you agree to say that IL2 do not provide any button to fix it directly ? Thank you again
Ala13_Kike Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Perhaps I did not understand your explanation at 100%. But, if I don't confuse, you advice me to open my joystick and work on some cables inside to adjust the direction of my central tube ? Normal, my english is bad . Only I try to explain one possible problem with your X52 (one construction problem), and one solution to play without this problem that you explain, that always go to the left. The X52 has a internal steel pipe that transport the wirings from the buttons at up of your joystick to the base, where they has all connections with his motherboard (the X52 motherboard) Maybe this pipe has cut part of the cover of these wiring at the base of your joystick, and they are in contact, check if this not your problem. If yes, this is that cause your problem. This happened with my old X52, the same problem (maybe not your problem), so I put it, do a simple check that it is not. In other side, I don't know if is possible to center your joystick with a button...
oneeyeddog Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 manuboki, AFAIK BoS no single button that will automaticly center your joystick. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to calibrate a joystick in a Mac OS either.
VBF-12_Snake9 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 My x52 would lose calibratoin sometimes, and I would unplug the cable that leads into the stick box. Once I unpluged and pluged it back in, the calibration would recycle and fix itself. This could be done on the fly per say without leaving game. Open your x52 control panel to see if it is the joystick or the game. My problem was the joystick would lose calibration. It hasn't lost calibration in many years now though. Must have wore that bug out of it.
