Please put mini map into online servers

I find it quite pointless flying then pressing the O" key to be given a huge map , now when this happens , does the aircraft go into auto pilot , or are we still flying , in real time , i dont think any real pilot will get a huge map  to read while flying , and cant actuly see the land marks . please make mini map avable  in online missions .

That would be great if the mini map was like ROF. You cant zoom it in or move it around in BOS can you? At least you couldn't last time I checked.

I believe that the minimap is still there, but only on Normal difficult servers. Anyways, the way the minimap worked was so terrible that I didnt even used it, the "O" map is just that better.

Yes the ROF mini map was awsome and well used , but this one is awful , i can see the point of a large map while at the briefing screen ,  but to fly around blind in a huge white open desert i find frustrating , besides when flying for real you have knee pads with maps and brief points . i only fly expert servers . Real needs addressing , we are loosing people every day to poor decisions .

This "micro/mini-map" is just a "GPS" screen, without plane icon in them is useless.

 

Here "M" bring the full screen map, the only that left in the game.

You're right. If we set our server on expert, the mini map is off. We don't have any setting dedicated to the minimap like we can have for the custom settings.

 

The minimap must be link with one element which must be in the normal settings.

 

Sorry guys, but at that moment, server admin can't do anything to give you the minimap (that i will enable in expert mod if i could). I hope we can in the future, but it's only hope.

He's either looking at the map, or looking up.. Unless he can move his eyes in separate directions.

 

As long as a mini-map in the corner stays out of expert servers..

 

And as big as the Stalingrad map is, do you think a knee-map would be detailed enough with how small it would be? A knee map would be cool.

Also I would like to mention that you can print the Stalingrad map and use it beside your pc, in real life. Some people posted the .pdf ready for printing in other topic. Or if you have a spare monitor, you can use that to show the map, an user even did an online map, with ruler, lenght, times, etc that you can set on the fly:

And if you want to have it more authentic, just take a piece of paper and paint the mission map with a pencil. Only the basics shouldn't need more than two minutes.

My point is the micro-mini map lack details to proper navigate without the plane over then.

Now I see this detail, they have "GPS" in 40's.
