Wulf Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I note (at least on my setup) that flight recording stops at the 53 minute mark. As that sounds like a fairly random time limit I assume it's adjustable somehow. Does anyone know where track length is set; assuming it can actually be adjusted? Thanks
Yakdriver Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 other people report that the track file is maximum 512mb (-ish) and that when this size is reached, the track stops, and one must relaunch the recording....? If the track length is dependent on the size, then solo flights can be recorded for longer times, as one solo plane generates less data than a track from a full MP server...hmm...

That makes sense. Cheers
Willy__ Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) You cant set the track lenght, as Yakdriver said, it's tied to the maximum file size, which is around ~500mb. Flying alone will generate less data and thus allow to record more time. But I guess its related to how many people are playing and how many objects were used on the mission. I just wish we could adjust and set our desired max file size. Even more, I wish we could store the tracks on others folders (other hdds), as I have BoS installed on a SSD and the tracks do take a considerable amount of GB's... Edited January 25, 2015 by istruba

Yes, or maybe have some sort of warning (flashing light or something) to indicate that you are about to run out of storage space. Or, hook it up to a Stuka siren to enhance immersion.... 1
Sokol1 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Nah, big "immersiom" hear Stuka siren at every ~15 minutes... flying a LaGG-3. The practical solution is set you phone alarm clock to remember you to start and stop the track after 15 minutes.
Emil_Junus Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Does anyone know how to change the max. size?
