Just installed it yesterday. Might need som advice

It works fine with current version of BOS and ROF and Facetracknoir 1.7. Thing is: since I never used such a device like trackir etc. Don't know how to freeze my view for shooting and of course my flying is totally crap right now. Guess it takes practice. But technically I'm amazed. And it works great. I'll have to do curves/profiles for every plane. But it's cool and easy.

I used FacetracknoIR for a long time before I bought my TrackIR. But when I got BoS I already had TiR, so cant comment on that issue.

Anyways, about setting it up: that software is very picky with the webcam you're using, one of the best options is PSEye, the webcam from PS3. After that you need to set up curves and deadzones as you see fit, otherwise you will get jitters all over. I usually set one curve/deadzone for each game and not for each plane, but that its your choice.

About "freezing your view for shooting", the solution for that is setting up deadzones when you're looking straight. I cant really help much more other than saying, get the game in windowed mode, enter in plane parked in the runaway and keep switching between the game and FacetracknoIR and go setting up your sensitivity curves/deadzones on the fly. After you think its enough, take the plane for a ride and see how it does, land. Rinse and repeat until you think its perfect.

Also as a sidenote: the ambient light does influence a lot in facetracknoIR.

Yeah! I dont see myself playing a flying sim without such devices, apart from the joystick I think that headtracking is an essential thing to have.  :)
