Hey guys!

About the skin viewer: it's in the game folder of IL2 - but does it need IL2 to run or ist it "stand alone".

If so - I'd like to have that, because I am sitting here, waiting for my money to buy IL2. While I'm making Skins.

Is "stand alone" - not depend on game running to start.

But looks like depend on games files to start, I copy the Viewer folder to desktop, but the Viewer dont start from this location, but start from game folder (game not running).

Haven't tried this myself yet (I'm away from my BoS PC so can't test this yet).  I know that just copying the viewer folder by itself to your desktop or another location and running it from there  isn't going to work - at a minimum, the viewer needs the skin folders to be where they are supposed to be relative to the viewer folder.  However, have you tried setting up a "dummy" BoS folder, empty of everything else but with all the skins and skin folders (data\graphics\skins\etc.) in the right place, and then copying the viewer folder into that "dummy" BoS folder and running it from there?  Would be interesting to see if that worked.

I try this too, copying skin folder... but did not work ...

Seems the Viewer use other game files, like plane animations (gear, propeller, canopy...), light effects... Inside his folder are only .DLL's hooking for these other files.
