6./ZG26_Loke Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I have been trying to assign prop pitch and oil mixture settings to joystick buttons, with out any luck. Now for some reason in the key settings this little orange symbol above RAlt+Minus and RAlt+Equal is missing, and now I can't control the oil misxure. Any idea how to get it back, and is it really not possible to assing JS buttons to control prop pitch, oil and water tempeture?
Sokol1 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) Just select on function, eg. Prop Pitch, click to open the box and follow on screen instructions, to set joy buttons first press one that increase, after the one that decrease, and dont forget to save. screen shot on pc In his example I remap P.Pitch control for + and - and set too for RCtrl+HAT Up and RCtrl+HAT Down, all work OK. If you dont want change that "default" setting (CTRL_Minus...) dont click over this box, click in the empty box on right side. Each command allow set tree different way to control, with keys, joy buttons and some with joy axis. After make some change dont forget click on ACCEPT. Edited January 18, 2015 by Sokol1
6./ZG26_Loke Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 In my Engines Mixture Control I'm missing "The multiple action on" icon the icon incircled in Red. When taht icon dissapeared I lost my option to control the mixture. As for the JS, it won't accept when I try to assign the button to have two functions. I get "joy0_b10 / joy0_b10" where it should be "joy0_b10 / joy0_b11". In the same split second I those b10 for increase it adds it for decrease as well.
Sokol1 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 This (orange/red) box only indicates that the keys assigned for this commands(e.g. Mixture Control) are used for another(s) functions - what in some cases end in conflict, in others no. The less you see this box, better. In the example the box inform that"Alt+E" are assigned for "inpvc..." how do i print screen I have no idea what is "inpvc..." , and as I did not notice any adverse side effect, will stay as is. Look at Mixture Controls, no dumb modifier used, no orange box. For the joy buttons trouble, you are not using these HOTAS programming software in background? This can be send spurious press. The Saitek one is "famous" in do this...
6./ZG26_Loke Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Well that is strange then, as I have the keyboard keys assigned as I said above, and secondary the JS. And yes it is a Saitek JS. And also as strange it stopped working when the orange box disappeared, that make no sense at all. Maybe a reset to default is the only way out
