last night I spent 2 hours down loading what I could for the VVS skins,

this morning I show cased them.

I had issues trying to download several skins. Some skins are not available to down load

that some of you guys have done.

 

I guess some owners of their skins do not wish to have them available.

 

therefore those owners have no down load links.

Are there any sort of awards for the most boring YouTube vids of 2015?   If so, I'd like to nominate this for the early running.  Don't worry; I'm not trolling, even the author of this vid hits the Mogadon at 12.32.

That's a bit harsh, but yeah, this could definitely have used some judicious editing - the first 4 1/2 minutes is totally nothing, and there's no way something like this should take 30 minutes.  I like the idea of some videos to promote the availability of skins and showcase some of the early efforts of the skinners around here to help build interest, but I would definitely recommend condensing these into much shorter and more focused videos - both finding a way to cover/showcase each skin in a shorter period of time, and perhaps split these up into a single video per plane type to keep the length to a minimum.  

 

Thinking of these things as sort of trailers/commercials for this aspect of the game, they would be "punchier" and more effective if they were shorter and flashier in some respects.

nice critic, in fair ness I just woke up and started drinking my coffee, so this was my coffee table morning review. lol its really weird though the Luftwaffe show case has far more numbers then VVS, so I guess VVS skins are more boring.

The name thing, well, what if you fly with the guys on the same server. Them having their "custom" skin selected, you, refusing to download it.

What the result is, is that nobody sees their skin online! I think skins autoswitch to the generic official and thats it.

 

I would prefer to have all possible skins in my folder but aggre to the proposal I read about the naming. Stick some character in front of it so the skins which are "custom" drop to the end of the list.

This way you can easily leave them out during you skin selection before the mission and have the full MP experience with all personalized skins.

 

We definitley need some rules set up eveybody needs to follow. The question is who decides this and how to control it. And I have no answer to this question.

While I share the sentiment that I primarily watched this for the skins and skipped past the talking, I really don't think any of us are in a position to criticise. None of us took the time to actually download and sort all those skins, record a video and upload it, and here we come demanding that the poor guy do a thorough editing on top of what he has already done?

 

Thx for putting that up mate. Some of thise skins look pretty grand. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many being fairly plausible.

I did not refuse to down load any ones skin there is a lot of skins that have no down loads...
