SR-F_Winger Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 http://www.thegamescabin.com/news-pc-exclusive-combat-flight-sim-il-2-sturmovik-battle-stalingrad-coming-consoles/ Anyone know anything? Please dont got the warthunder route.
Leaf Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Oh please, no. This game is a little all over the place right now anyway, what with a slightly sterile campaign, no FMB, no dserver, unlocks, lack of planes, too little ground action, limited server capacity etc. The devs can hardly afford to split up their resources even further. Personally I'd rather perfect one game before trying to do too many things at once. No good can come of that. Let's just hope that the Australian classification has a mistake in it. 361fundahl Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I think it would be great for them and hopefully will force then to throw a bunch of polish on this game. More sales means more development for us I highly doubt they would be willing to dumb downany part of the game for console players.plus every console player will already have a joystick to use
=AVG=Zombie Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 If they make more money they make more maps and planes.... free enterprise, would you not take your creation across all platforms, I would with out a doubt... man you got to retire someday, hopefully with some money in the bank...
jeanba Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 We’ve emailed the fine folks over at 1C Game Studios to see if they can give us any clarification on the matter because there’s every chance that the Aussie ratings board may have just made an error.
Volkoff Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Well, I think that a Survey Combat Flight Simulator would lend itself to the console market. I can't really see the down side. MJ
APIKalimba Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 It is a very good news. Obviously, more money, more programmers, more development... I am convinced 777 will keep the "realism" on track for the PC version. Worldwide, the PC platform is slowly taking over the gaming war between Consoles and PC. Another insentive for more quality... Best selling games January 2014. Can we really ignore other platforms ? 1. Call of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PC)**2. NBA 2K14 (PS4, 360, Xbox One, PS3, PC)**3. Battlefield 4 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)4. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (360, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Wii U, PC)**5. Grand Theft Auto V (360, PS3)**6. Madden NFL 25 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)7. Minecraft (360)8. FIFA 14 (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, Vita)9. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, 3DS, Wii U, Vita, PC)10. Tomb Raider (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)**

Jason_Williams Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 LOL This was not intentional. I did not instruct them to purposely say multi-platform. As of this moment nothing has changed. So no story here. Jason 1
-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Some times you just know better but a rumour is a rumour ...... thanks Zak & Jason for .... LOL .... clarifying ... Back to flying ... Chief
III/JG11_Tiger Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Wow an Aussie Government department making a screw up I can't belive it The really interesting point was the following comment by the author, "The hugely popular IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad", is this right is there any news on sales? If people think it is hugely popular they will snap it up, much like the Goat simulator and FSX on Steam, hopefully for the Devs he got that bit of the article right.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Seems like pure speculation to me but Tbh as long as console mp and pc mp remain separate I don't see a problem. It can only get more people into it right? Lol standing by for serious AAA Edited January 16, 2015 by AeroAce

It can only get more people into it right? Lol standing by for serious AAA The time and resources dedicated to porting this sim to console would be much better spent improving the PC version first. Let's not try and run before we can walk.
johncage Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 i love how all the people ran in here to argue in favor of console il-2 *shakes head*
dburne Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 i love how all the people ran in here to argue in favor of console il-2 *shakes head* ROTFL, but surely not surprised...
Jason_Williams Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Ok so prolonged discussion and personal jabs are not warranted since we know what happened. This thread serves no greater good. Jason 1
