dhillr Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Using Ctrl+R in game, I can record the game only 15-16 minutes before it stops recording automatically. Is there any way to keep recording until I feel like to finish it? Edited January 10, 2015 by dhillr
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 one word or two, Shadow play, NVIDIA or use fraps.
FlatSpinMan Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 As above, or remember to push the button every ten minutes or so. Glad you mentioned this though as I wasn't aware of it. I always get killed within that time - these days usually by crashing into trees. I don't know why I've suddenly lost the ability to avoid them.

dhillr Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 one word or two, Shadow play, NVIDIA or use fraps. I use shadowplay when i record my game-play, and in-game records for other purpose like reviewing last flight with external view. As above, or remember to push the button every ten minutes or so. FlatSpinMan Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 But doesn't shadow play allow you to record longer anyway?
SAG Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 hey man, ive had the same problem as you, recordings didnt go over 15 minutes for me either, but i started reviewing some of my clips and noticed that some of them where 24 minutes+ so let me know if you come up with an answer (maybe its a bug?)
Willy__ Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) The problem with using fraps, Shadowplay or other recording programs is that you lose the ability to see the exterior views, like you have when using the in-game track recorder. Just remember to push the button for the track recording once in a while and you're good to go. I'm also one who wants to be able to record more than 15 min with the track recorder. -edit- SAG, indeed! Some of my recordings do have more than 15min, but others just stop by that 15min mark, dont know why, maybe its a bug ? Edited January 10, 2015 by istruba
102nd-YU-shtele Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 If I remember correctly, we are limited to 500mb track size not duration time.
Sokol1 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yes. I record some Chir Front flights, that took almost one hour, and notice that tracks are interrupted before the end of light. Looking at track folder the maximum size is 512 MB.
