If you want to read an excellent autobiography of a Stirling pilot, check out "A Thousand Shall Fall" by Murray Peden. It's a wonderful read. Murray takes you through his early training in Tiger Moths in Canada through to his operational tour on Stirlings. He also flies a B-17 on window and ECM sorties near the end of his tour. Cheers!
